Waaaaugh, I want a plot for this. ;_____;
I guess…I'm going for the trio's and everyone else from Noblesse actually lived the one-hundred years in between now? O____o;; M-21 definitely seems to be showing it. Either that or the trio-ship is showing through. XDD;;

"Yo!" That was all the warning M-21 got before Tao slung an arm around his shoulders, Takeo coming up on his other side. "Your little brother is here!"

M-21 groaned, shaking Tao's arm off. "He's not my little brother." But the argument was useless and well-worn already, even though it had only been a couple of days since Tao had started his background check on a certain Daren Avery.

"Well, he can't be your kid," Tao said, peering at him and both M-21 and Takeo spluttered, "or maybe he's-" M-21 clasped a hand over Tao's mouth to stop him from continuing, his face burning.

"I'm not the only one with strange hair colour," M-21 pointed out, and Takeo elbowed him in the side for attempting to divert Tao's attention to him.

"Pfft. We have a kid who's suddenly transferring out of nowhere, with no background whatsoever, and, most importantly, has silver hair."

"And if Daren had purple-" Takeo elbowed him again.

"Yup! Anyway, he and his dad just went into the Boss' office, so we might be able to catch them when they leave!"

And he and Takeo really didn't have that much of a choice when Tao had that glint in his eye…

It didn't take them that long to reach Frankenstein's office, but two people were already leaving, a blue-haired man and a silver-haired, glasses-wearing boy beside him. They bowed as they walked past, and M-21's nose flared as they did, the acrid scent of steel clinging to the boy far stronger than the scent of metal and electricity that hung around Tao or smoke and gun oil on Takeo.

"You all right?" Takeo asked him once the two had gone out of earshot.

"Yeah…" M-21 said, glancing back. Where did he live or do to have that scent?

Tao, as usual, didn't knock before entering Frankenstein's office but Frankenstein looked up to them, smiling without a trace of an aura once the door was closed. That was a good sign.

"We have a new student at YeLan," Frankenstein informed them cheerfully, "but we will be keeping an eye on him – Daren and his father are hiding something, and I want to make sure that the school won't be harmed by it."

Tao coughed. Frankenstein's cleanliness streak had calmed down somewhat after YeLan had become the battle school it was famed for (and after Ezart had enrolled – they had made sure to stay out of Frankenstein's way for a month when they realised just how much damage Ezart was capable of by himself) so they were no longer as wary about damaging the school building as before, but the protectiveness they all had over the student body was still the same as it ever was.

M-21 frowned slightly. "Daren…smelled like steel," he offered hesitantly, feeling as if it wasn't something important.

"Yeah," Tao said, nodding. "When he was walking, there was a weird echo there, like hollow metal."

They glanced at Takeo, who stared back them, panicked. "I didn't notice anything."

Frankenstein hummed, steepling his fingers. "He's strong enough to leave dents in my chair. Clearly, there is more than meets the eye regarding Daren. Well," he said, leaning back, "we will have to continue our research on Daren."

"Righto, Boss!" Tao said, giving him a jaunty salute. Frankenstein smiled and nodded to them before they turned to go.

Once they were out the office, Tao turned to them, grinning. "It's nearing lunch, so we should get something to eat."

"Seira's working here today, then," Takeo said dryly.

"Heh, yeah, she is."

Together, they started to make their way to the cafeteria.

Oh, I guess plot did show up! XDD I guess we might get an outsider's perspective of what happens in EH, or the Noblesse crew trying to work out what happened to Daren. Or both.

Dithered on M-21 actually telling them or not but…the way someone smells is suspicious? XD;;; He's still not that forthcoming with information. Well, if they can use that to tell if someone's been modified… Oh. *goes and fixes*

I do want to know what Rai, Regis and Seira are doing… Hmmm. Regis might be helping out with the simulation stuff, if he's good with technology? Rai… I want to say Rai is the secretary but Frankenstein wouldn't allow that (plus, computers. XDDD) and I don't see Rai being a student because of the physical exertion stuff so…he's a teacher? *lolling forever* Maybe he just stands around while Regis putters about with the simulation stuff. I'm not sure why Seira apparently is a part-time worker – oh, haha, maybe she cooks for Ye Ran on her other days. XDDD

…This verse is certainly developing anyway. XDDDD

Next part I guess is when Dark Sun appears. …Haaaaahahaha! XDDD Or a cafeteria scene with Regis. X33333333

XD;; I am/was being pedantic because I didn't want to use OT3 since I don't have a One True anything. XD;; Trio-ship...ping? And putting in M-21/Tao/Takeo felt too unwieldy. XD;;; *nitpick nitpick nitpick*

I thought so too, but it's Devon that has red eyes and Daren has black eyes. ;_____; I so wanted to make a noble connection.

Knowing Tao? Not long. XDDDD;; Daren's a challenge I'm going to have to split from canon...probably soon, since we've seen the principal (and might have seen him earlier, actually...) and I don't want to parallel the canon too much, now that I think about it. I want to do stuff from Daren's pov! ...Oooooh, I don't want to know Tao's expression when he finds out what Dark Sun can do! XDDDDD

Oh, well... Once Devon enters this they'll connect him to the nobles (the possibilities! They could somehow assume he's a noble living with experiments... Like Rai)

XDDDDD I can imagine... And of course he'll have to start analyzing immediately to see if he's an enemy... And reach some wrong conclusion and nearly have a heart attack... And... Yeah...

Yep! I was writing a M-21/Tao/Takeo fic before this for springkink/kinkfest but I've been overwhelmed with other plotbunnies at the moment. XD;;

...I've never read the other canon, but I liked this a lot! If there were an emoticon that meant "oh, Tao XD", I'd add about a thousand of those. XD

I've been wondering about that. Do modified humans live longer than normal humans? And M-21 is slowly turning into a werewolf, I kind of suspect that they're like the Nobles in that they live a very long time. That'll be fun to find out (for him).

Or maybe I just like the idea that if Rai has to sleep again for a long time, it's not just Frankenstein waiting for him.

Either that or the trio-ship is showing through. XDD;;

:D You can read the other canon here if you want to give it a try! :3 The basic premise is there's two brothers, but because their mum died in childbirth, their dad hates the younger brother (Daren), so he later 'sent him away to boarding school' - the dad actually experimented on Daren to make him a perfect bodyguard for Devon. When the two are reunited, Daren's got a microchip in his head that shutters away his emotions and Devon is programmed to be one peron that he can't disobey, amongst a loooot of other things. When they reboot his memory, Devon has his human!personality and his Dark Sun!personality. So, because of all that happened, Devon wants Daren to live a normal life, go to school... Daren wants to go to a fighting school, where it's pretty likely he's going to found out because of his abilities, because his programming still affects the way he thinks and he wants to protect his master/older brother.

Um. Yeah.

This is a fascinating universe with all of them already used to Ezart! XD Yeaaaah, you can't expect the school not to get damaged when you have students like that.

Actually, that could make a lot of sense! The class isn't that important, so it doesn't matter if the students pay attention or not. But, we do hear that that teacher talks, and Frankenstein would not be pleased at all the weapons flying about. XDDD Damn, not Rai then. Or I could just go for the AU/fusion route and start disregarding canon parts, because I'm not looking for the Noblesse cast to fit in absolutely perfectly. :3
