Overload [Chapter 1]

Fandom: Beyblade
Summary
: [AU] The universes of Of Different Worlds and Kai's Bad Day collide. Crack
Rating
: K
Notes
: *puts face into hands* I can't believe I just made an AU of an AU. Yeah, I made those universes and now I'm making an AU of it. Ack. But the plotbunny wouldn't let go! And I thought it was only going to be one chapter long. I doubt I'm going to be putting this into chapters but just in parts as I write them. It was kinda interesting to see how differently I had written Kai from ODW and Kai from KBD. Not that it shows in this but eh...
I'm just doing this for fun so yeah.. I was gonna say something about characterisation but then I'll just sound like I'm making excuses. If you've read KBD you'll know why Kai is the way he is blah blah blah.
When I say Bladebreakers, it's a blanket term for Tyson, Ray, Max, Kenny, Kai(from ODWcanon!world), Hilary and Tala. 'Cause I'm lazy like that.
It's kinda set in the 19th/20th chapter of ODW (not that I've written them yet) and the 10th chapter of KBD. I really need to re-read them to make sure I've written them right.
This won't be going onto ff.net or ficwad (yes, I've joined another ff site ^^;) since I don't think it realy works...fanficiton of fanfiction? *shrugs*
Yikes, the way I've written Daisuke reminds me of Ayame from Fruits Basket.
Genre: Humour/ Parody
Word count: 755
Status: Work in Progress

"So, we have that sorted out," Tyson sighed in relief as he sat down in the cafeteria.

Kai glared. "Not completely. We have this worked out but now what?"

"Help us," Ray said with a shrug.

Tala rolled his eyes. "That's what he was talking about. What he meant was what are we going to do now?"

Opening his mouth to probably give a suggestion, Max stopped when he saw a black swirling something form above the table that the newly-formed Bladebreakers. It increased in size but before anyone could say a word or yell a warning, Kai appeared in the middle of the ... black hole?, hovered for a few seconds and then fell with a thud onto the table-top.

The Bladebreakers glanced at one-another, to the Kai on top of the table and then to the Kai that they knew marginally better. Kai's face (the one which was standing), obviously, was impassive.

There was barely a seconds pause after that when another body appeared above the other Kai. This one, none of them recognised.

Thump.

They winced when he landed on top of the other Kai.

As soon as that had happened, the black hole disappeared.

"Get. Off. Of. Me," came the muffled growl from under the boy.

"Awww," was the whining reply, "but I'm comfy!"

The Bladebreakers stared. That boy obviously didn't know Kai.

The other Kai rolled over, making the other boy fall off the table.

"Meanie." Standing up and brushing invisible dust off his trousers, the other boy innocently asked the other Kai, "Need any help getting up?"

He was glared at and then ignored. The other boy smiled at the Bladebreakers while the other Kai slid off the table. "Sooo, where are we?"

"Ahm..."

"Who are you?" Tala asked.

The other Kai merely raised an eyebrow while the other boy laughed. "Well, I'm pretty sure you know who he is," the other boy nodded towards the other Kai. "Me? I'm Daisuke."

Tyson stiffled a groan. "So now there's three of them!"

"Four, actually," Daisuke corrected.

Max looked at him in confusion. "Four? How do you know what Tyson is talking about?"

"I just do. He's talking about the number of Kais in this world."

The other Kai looked at his companion. "Why four?"

"Because," Daisuke said in a sing-song voice, and grined at him. Apparently this was normal as the other Kai just rolled his eyes. "Look at what the other you is wearing: it's the same as you. Now, look at what the other guys are wearing; have you ever seen them wear that?" He didn't allow Kai to answer. "No? That means the other you is also an 'alien'," he said while using air quotes, "on this world. Since Tyson said there was three, it makes sense if the 'real' Kai of this world is still alive."

The Kai he was talking to gave him a level look. "You can use your brain - well done."

"That may make sense to you but why did you say four?" Kenny asked.

Daisuke's grin widened. "I'm the fourth Kai," he said with a glint in his eyes as he also pointed to himself.

There was a brief silence as this was taken in. It was obviously untrue since Daisuke looked nothing like the Kais that were in the room. He was wearing all black, had black hair and even had silver studs in his ears. And the personality? Not even going there.

"If you're the fourth Kai, why are you called Daisuke?" Kai demanded.

To say Kai was surprised when Daisuke winked at him was an understatement. "It's because my dear poor Kai," he lightly slapped the Kai next to him on the back, "here was so confused on what to call me so I suggested -"

"Kai Hiwatari the second."

"Daisuke." Daisuke made a motion to pat the Kai that interrupted him on the head but it was batted away. "Since we don't want them to get confused, how about we give you a nickname? ("No!") Hmm, how about Yoshi? How about it?" Daisuke asked the Bladebreakers.

Kai(Yoshi?) clenched his hands into fists and closed his eyes.

One second passed. Two...

Kai(Yoshi?) threw a punch in Daisuke's direction. A short scuffle later found Kai being pinned to the table.

"C'mooon."

"No."

"I'll hug you."

Kai twitched. A grunt and a shifting of weight. "Fine, Yoshi is it."

Daisuke grinned widely. "Yey!"

Letting Yoshi up, he looked at the agape Bladebreakers. "You get used to him - like Tyson."
