M-24 let out a long breath, wincing as he gingerly touched his head. It hurt sometimes, and he didn't know why; there didn't seem to be any reason for it - it came and went without warning.
But.
After the headaches, he was somewhere he wasn't supposed to be. He hadn't been told that he was barred from certain areas, but he hadn't been told he was allowed in those areas either. M-21 didn't seem that worried about his wanderings though...
Maybe he should.
M-24 stared down at his hands, clenching and unclenching them over and over again, just to check that they did what he wanted them to.
What if this had been planned? What if he had meant to escape? What if...
He lurched to his feet. He was putting M-21 in danger, the new life he had built around him, the life that had nothing to do with the Union.
He had to -

M-24 screwed his eyes shut as he felt a headache begin to pulse from behind his eyes.
