"-but I mean, the colour's nice, but I don't think-"
"Tao."
"-and this one has some really nice features-"
"Tao."
"-damn, I think I need to pull up the specs-"
"Tao."
Tao span around, a wounded look on his face. "Takeo, this is important."
"It's a phone," M-21 said, shaking his head as he approached them, his newly chosen phone in his hands.
"Exactly," Tao said, nodding firmly. "This is something we use every day and is central towards keeping communications with each other; they need be the best!"
"How about durable?" Takeo said, his eyes scanning the shelves.
"Eh." Tao waved a hand dismissively as he fiddled with his pocket computer. "That can't be helped when you think about the force they're being hit with."
Takeo hid a wince. That was true enough – when the phone was put up against a force that could crush blocks of metal, it would be surprising if it survived that, and that wasn't taking Tao's electrical abilities into account either.
"Aha!" Tao stashed his pocket computer away and gleefully picked up a box, storing it under his arm and then lead them back to Frankenstein, where everyone else was waiting patiently.
Beside him, M-21 sighed. "You'd think he'd forgotten we have to do this every couple of weeks…"
Takeo's lips twitched as they followed Tao. "He's started keeping lists of the phones that look interesting as soon as they come out." He'd caught sight of the list once when he was in Tao's room.
"And he's still like this when we have to buy them."
Everyone could hear them, and Tao had that glint in his eye, promising retribution in an embarrassing way, but Takeo didn't care, smiling at Tao. He'd care when Tao put his plan into action later, but for the moment, he was safe.

The instructions didn't seem particularly difficult, Regis mused as he read over them. He glanced at Rai, who was staring intensely at his new phone, like it would reveal its secrets to him if he did it hard enough.
If the phone had been living, Regis was sure it would have.
"A-ah," he said, gaining Rai's attention. "I think I know how to make it work now."
Rai nodded, handing his phone to him, his head at a tilt.
Regis cleared his throat before he started to explain, showing exactly how to use Rai's new phone.
"And you can play games from this menu as well." …Um. Regis glanced at the games that were already on the phone, and wondered if it kept track of how many times the player died as well…

Dammit, Seira, you're there in both scenes; you just don't have any speaking parts. ;___;
This feels like it should have more parts to it… Hm.
