Rai was missing. M-21 frowned, looking around, trying to find him. Nowhere in sight. "Number 1…" he said, sighing at the same time.
"Hm?" Tao turned around. "What's – oh." He scratched the back of his head, gazing at the direction they'd come from. "Time to backtrack, then."
They nodded, keeping their eyes peeled in the dim moonlight. M-21 flexed his hands out of habit, even though he knew…
There was a faint 'snap' to their right, and they all paused, waiting to see if they would hear any more information. There was a low howl and M-21 was instantly on the move.
"Number 4-!"
M-21 didn't care; he gritted his teeth and ploughed on ahead. It didn't take him long to find Rai – he could see blood on Rai's clothes, but when he took a step closer (there was a monster standing a few feet away from Rai, blood on its jaws), M-21 was jerked back a step by his arm.
"Number 2-" he started, to Takeo's shaking head.
"How many times do we have to tell you?" Takeo said. "You can't-"
One of Seira's skeletons ran past them and killed the monster in one blow.
Tao emerged from the trees' shadows behind them and patted M-21 on the shoulder as he walked past. "You're a caster – you don't need to run in," he reminded M-21.
He huffed at that, shaking his head; he'd chosen the wrong class to play – standing back at a distance wasn't something he normally did.
To Rai, Tao said: "Hey, do you remember that healing spell you learned?" The one that Frankenstein had specifically made sure Rai learned perfectly. For when he wasn't online.
Rai blinked at him, his eyebrows creasing slightly. After a minute, his form glowed golden, the blood trails disintegrating at the same time.
"All right!" Tao cheered, throwing an arm up. "Time to complete that quest!"
Together, they started to make their way towards their destination again, this time, keeping a closer eye on Rai.

Written for YueRyuu's prompt, 'Sick!Rai'. It was between writing this, or a serious fic. XD; Haha, Rai was supposed to be poisoned as well, but that got a bit too much, and I wasn't sure how people see other party/guild members' health.
Ahahaha! Uuuuh, if you kill me, you don't get more fic? *gets shot anyway*
Yessss, I finally wrote them playing Second Life! 8D You can find out what else they got/get up to playing it (not writing it, because the fic would omg, huge!) here Just…be warned – the beginning of the post isn't work-safe. Or brain-safe. XD;
