Notes: *Squees* Twelfth chapter's out!
Ha! No mention of alcoholic drinks! Yey!
And ha, this time it's vaguely more 'Sasukura', 'Sasakura', 'Sasakura'. Geh. And I kept on messing up his name, and trying to put 'Sasura' or 'Sakura' instead.
Rated for Dante's mouth.
Uh, is Ayaka a common Japanese name?

'A rather slow night tonight,' Sasakura thought to himself as he cleaned one of the glasses. Nothing too eventful had happened, though there had been another visit from Kuzuhara. The atmosphere had been a little tense but at least he hadn't tested him and seemed more interested in drinking, which he was pleased to see.

At that current moment, there were only four people in the bar – two regular customers, and a couple who came in on an irregular basis. Putting the glass back in its proper place, Sasakura began to wipe down the counter.

When he had nearly finished, the familiar sound of the door opening and closing made him look up and smile. "Welcome."

It was a new customer, one that drew a second look from everyone in the bar. Taller than the average Japanese person, he was clothed in red and black. But it was also his long silver hair that grabbed attention, something that wasn't seen naturally on someone his age. The man scanned the room through his hair before sitting down at the counter, placing his guitar bag gently next to him. The bag made an odd noise as it hit the ground but Sasakura didn't think too much about it; he was a bartender, an expert in drinks, not musical instruments.

He finished cleaning and walked over to the customer. "What would you like?"

The man placed his elbows on the wood, his chin leaning on the back of his hand. "A strawberry sundae."

He could feel his eyebrows raise slightly at the man's request. In English, too? "Ah, sorry, sir, but we only sell drinks here." And peanuts, but they didn't measure up to anything like a dessert. Maybe he had overestimated how old the man was, or he hadn't quite grown up yet.

The man tsk'd and turned his head away. "Doesn't anyone sell strawberry sundaes in this crappy city?" he muttered. Sasakura moved away from the man, completing other little tasks he needed to do as he waited to see if the man would order something else or leave.

He was surprised to see Ayaka make her way towards them. "I know a place that sells some wonderful strawberry sundaes – it's still open too. I could show you." She tilted her head at the man, smiling coyly at him. An appraising look was what she got in return before the man sighed.

"I hope so – I haven't had one for days."

Ayaka's smile widened, pleased. "Great! I'll just go grab my bag and coat."

The man didn't say another word as they left, Ayaka holding on to his arm and talking about how she had found the place the first time.

Sasakura stared at the closed door, feeling a little bit worried. As far as he knew, there wasn't a place near-by that sold strawberry sundaes, and if there was, he doubted that they'd still be open at this time of night. Still, the man did seem to know what else Ayaka wanted.

Ayaka usually left with another person a few times a week, but it wasn't his place to judge. She also left under her own power and choice, so, so long as it was of her own free will, he wouldn't step in.

The door opened again and he put the thoughts away, smiling again. "Welcome."
