Sun plopped himself down on the chair, flapping his wings to generate some cool air. It was a hotter morning than usual, but that was probably because the God of Light was starting to wake up earlier as the days went on.
Judgement waited for his wings to settle down by picking up Sun's loose feathers and putting them away. Hm. The basket was getting pretty full now, Sun noticed; maybe they should start burning them - Sun knew a couple of spells that could get rid of them without needing to step outside his bedroom - but then he'd be stuck with the smell of the pieces of the feathers...
He hummed when he felt Judgement's fingers on the crook of where his wings met skin, deftly smoothing out the feathers there.
"Go lower," Sun grumbled, pushing against Judgement's fingers, feeling an itch there.
Judgement sighed. "I've barely started."
"And we don't have a lot of time." After straightening out Sun's wings, his hair was next, and then making sure there were no stray strands of hair or bits of feather were clinging to his clothes. Sun glared darkly at Judgement’s wings. All you had to do for his wings was to spray a little water on them and rub them down; it was all over in less than five minutes.
"Ah…" Sun sighed, arching into Judgement's hands as they moved lower, going straight for the right spot. He gave out a disappointed cry when Judgement's fingers continued down. "Hey!"
"You said we had no time," Judgement said, and Sun could just picture the amused smile on the other man's face. "And I notice you aren't doing anything," he pointed out.
Sun coughed and started to smoothen out some of the feathers on his side. See? He was preening too! But his job was easier anyway, and Judgement knew that too, most of the askew feathers being on the outside since they kept getting ruffled by the bed or the wall.
He squirmed in his chair when Judgement's hands ghosted over another itchy area, but the pressure there wasn't quite enough. "Harder," he whined as he straightened out another feather.
There was a pause. "The last time you asked me to go harder…"
"You went too hard!" Sun exclaimed, his wings beating at the memory. How was he supposed to know Judgement would take his words to heart and use his full strength? "I had bruises for days!"
Judgement sighed in the way Sun recognized as the one where he was contemplating hitting him on the head. "You complain too much." But then Judgement pushed with just the right strength, moving his fingers at the same time, like Sun knew he would.
"And how many times have we done this now?" Sun shot back. "You should know what to do already!"
He yelped when Judgement's hand thwacked him on the back of the head. "Ow!"
They froze when there was a clatter by Sun's bedroom door. Shit, had someone been listening to them being friendly with each other?
Judgement glanced at him and Sun stood up warily. It wouldn't be good if Judgement answered his door, unless Sun had been injured, which he wasn't. The door was, thank the God of Light, still locked, so the other person wouldn't have been able to hear them too clearly or –even worse- see Judgement preening his wings.
When Sun opened his door, there was no-one in sight, even behind it. Though there was a sheaf of papers lying on the ground…
He picked it up and saw it was the report he'd hidden in Storm's pile of paperwork the day before.
It was slightly better than someone from the rest of the populace knowing, and hopefully if Storm did gossip, no-one would believe him.
Making sure he locked the door again, Sun went back to the chair after dropping his report on the bed. "Right – should we talk to Storm or see what happens?"
Judgement hummed, threading his fingers through Sun's feathers. "Storm wouldn't say anything too damaging to your reputation," he pointed out.
Sun snorted. "He said I'd been having an affair with the princess."
Judgement's fingers stopped. "We'll look for him when we're finished."

O____o Is that plot appearing? In that direction? If this goes on, uuuuh, it's going to become obvious what happened. XDDD But then, since it's Storm… Ooooh, poor him! XDDD!
Don't think I should post this part until I actually know what's going to happen next. XD;;

Date: Jan. 17th, 2012 10:27 am (UTC)Hahaha, I thought we'd be on the other side of the door with this conversation, but looks like we get to be privy to what's actually happening! And oh dear, it's already quite easy to misunderstand even without the obstruction of the door. XDDD
Hehe, Sun preening. Or Judgment helping him actually. I find it a cute image. XD
Papers on the floor? Storm? (OMG Storm? XDD;;; ) Pft, and it was a report that Sun hid in Storm's pile, hahah. Poor Storm... XD
I really wonder what Storm got out of that conversation, oh gosh. XDDDD (Is he going to start gossiping, or is he too flustered or traumatized? XDDDD I wonder who he'd choose to 'gossip' with if he does decide not to keep this to himself. XDD)
I see this is a work in progress. :3

Date: Jan. 19th, 2012 02:23 am (UTC)Yeah, I'd thought it'd be from Storm's point of view too, but then it'd make things way too obvious and readers would know what's happening anyway, especially if the narrative character changed suddenly. So, went for the slightly more subtle route. >D Except it can still be read as that, pfft.
Storm arrived at the start of the fic, just where Sun started talking. And yeah, he first stayed because Sun and Judgement, talking with each other without arguing? And then the conversation continued and his mind went to THAT and he couldn't move and *snerk* Poor Storm. XDD He's too traumitised from listening to Sun and Judgement 'doing that' (and still trying to wrap his head around the two not being enemies) that gossip is faaar from his mind at the moment. Apparently, if this had actually been a Sun/Judgement fic and something like this had happened, my mind is telling me I'd be trying to write Sun/Judgement/Storm. XDD
Haha, this is definitely a wip with that ending! XDD Another one or two parts for this 'arc'? Maybe? Let's see what happens. XDD
