A long, long time ago, there was a young handsome Prince who was named Georgo. He was famed far and wide by his people for his honest nature, and how much he blushed in the presence of a woman, but his honest, bashful nature also made his parents despair, for they needed an heir to carry on their line (Unfortunately, they would not have been so distraught had they know how many heirs Georgo truly had; maybe it would have driven the country to ruin with so many individuals vying for succession).
They called far and wide for a Princess that would be able to court the young Georgo, but to no avail. (They may have noted, had they not been distracted by trying to find a suitable match for Georgo, that their departing Princesses looked far happier than they did when they arrived). Eventually, they widened their search to those with noble blood, but still they failed. (These had the same results)
One day, a message came through of a Princess with fair long hair that had been locked far away in a tall tower. (No-one was sure why said Princess had been locked away in said tower, but news of her had spread nevertheless)
The King turned to his son and declared that his son would be the one to ride out to rescue her, to gain her hand in marriage (Although a reward had not been mentioned, but people tended to assume gold and marriage was on the table when there was a kidnapping involved).
"What?" Georgo yelped, before ducking his head. "Uh, I-I-I mean, a-are you sure, Father?"
The King was. And so, Prince Georgo set off to find the Princess that had been locked far away in a tall tower (Grumbling all the way, but no-one was close enough to hear him, let alone what the young, innocent Prince was saying)
It took many days of travel, of riding through the rough terrain and blasting weather (Unfortunately, Prince Georgo found out that he would not have any guards travelling with him just before he left the castle) but the young Prince eventually arrived at the tall tower (and if he had taken a meandering route, visiting inns and other places, no-one knew).
There was no door, Prince Georgo found when he slid off his horse. He looked up and up and up at the tower and considered asking the Princess to let down her hair, like in another tale that he had heard (He eventually decided against it, because he didn't want to accidently pull her out the window; that was not something he wanted to explain to his father).
But as there was no door, and the young Prince could not ask the help of Princess Grisia…he therefore had to climb the tall tower ('Are you kidding me?' he yelled in his mind.)
After many days of trying to scale the tower and failing (he had tried making a rope of vines, trying to find a hidden passage and literally scaling the walls) Prince Georgo flopped down on the ground. Really, all this effort for one person!
In a fit of frustration, Prince Georgo leapt to his feet and hollered up to the sky, "How do you get into the tower?"
There was no answer. Grumbling under his breath, Prince Georgo turned to see if there forest could give him more materials to use to climb the tower but there was a low grating sound, coming from behind him.
Bewildered, Prince Georgo watched agape as stone shifted to reveal a door ('I had to ask?' Prince Georgo thought, baffled. 'Then why hasn't the Princess left herself?' He looked behind him. Stay in the tower or leave and go out into the forest to be eaten by beasts. Ah. She was more protected inside.)
Prince Georgo went into the tower and inside was a dusty staircase. He wrinkled his nose at the sight, but after attempting to scale the tower from the outside, he was dirty enough already, so he climbed and climbed and climbed up the stairs, until he finally came to a rickety wooden door at the top.
Taking a deep breath, Prince Georgo straightened his clothes and took a deep breath. He then opened the door (the key had been left in the lock) and peeked in.
Lying there in the centre of the room, surrounded by so many sweets that Prince Georgo had no chance of being able to name them all, was the blonde, long-haired beauty that Prince Georgo had been seeking. She must have been put under a spell, for she was sleeping so peacefully in the bed when the sun was high in the sky! And there was one sure-fire cure for that: true love's first kiss.
Prince Georgo carefully made his way over to the Princess' side, taking in her looks with every step. Long, golden hair that would reach her legs when she stood; pale, unblemished skin that looked soft to touch…
Finally at her side, Prince Georgo started to lean down to kiss when he noticed there was one thing that he had not noticed before. With as many ruffles as the Princess' dress had, this close, Prince Georgo could see that the Princess' chest was very, very flat.
He paused, a hairs breadth away from the Princess' lips, staring.
And that was when the Princess stirred, her eyes fluttering open to reveal the bluest eyes Georgo had ever seen.
As soon as the Princess saw Prince Georgo, she said, "My Prince!" and then Prince Georgo skittered away from her – him, yelping as her voice was far too deep to come from the fairer sex.
"W-wait, why-?" he stuttered.
"I have been placed under a curse-"
"You've been turned into a guy?"
"No."
Oh. Prince Georgo dusted himself off and then left the room.
"Hey, I'm trapped here!" was all Prince Georgo heard just before he closed the door, and he was sure he had misheard the string of swear words that followed him as he began to descend the tower.

Date: Oct. 24th, 2012 08:28 am (UTC)ROFL, oh man, how many mini Georgos are actually out there, huh... that would indeed be a huge problem for succession!
(They may have noted, had they not been distracted by trying to find a suitable match for Georgo, that their departing princesses looked far happier than they did when they arrived).
Ahahahahahaha! XDDD Oh dear gods...
"What?" Georgo yelped, before ducking his head. "Uh, I-I-I mean, a-are you sure, Father?"
Loved how Georgo changed his speech like that, hahaha.
(and if he had taken a meandering route, visiting inns and other places, no-one knew).
None knew, except now this reader does! =P Georgo, get back on track! XD
He looked up and up and up at the tower and considered asking the Princess to let down her hair, like in another tale that he had heard
I wondered if this was a reenactment of Rapunzel or not! XDD
(He eventually decided against it, because he didn't want to accidently pull her out the window; that was not something he wanted to explain to his father).
LOLOLOL. Oh gods, that would be bad if he pulled someone who he was supposed to save out of the window. From that height, the fall would not be good, hahaha.
But as there was no door, and the young Prince could not ask the help of Prince Grisia…
Prince Grisia?
'I had to ask?'
XDDDD!! You just had to ask!
Stay in the tower or leave and go out into the forest to be eaten by beasts. Ah. She was more protected inside.
Sounds safer inside. :3 Except, how long would the food stay good for?
Lying there in the centre of the room, surrounded by so many sweets
Sweeeeets! XDDD
And there was one sure-fire cure for that: true love's first kiss.
Bwahahaha.
With as many ruffles as the Princess' dress had, this close, Prince Georgo could see that the Princess' chest was very, very flat.
Ruffles. XDD;; Hehehehehe.
"You've been turned into a guy?"
"No."
XDDDDDDDD
Aaaaand then Georgo left. Awesome ending. XDD

"Georgo, get back on track! XD"
He will! Eventually. *cough*
"Oh gods, that would be bad if he pulled someone who he was supposed to save out of the window. From that height, the fall would not be good, hahaha"
Noooope. XD
"Prince Grisia?"
...Oops. *fixes*
"You just had to ask!"
Simple! XD:
"Sweeeeets! XDDD"
With Grisia's tastes, those sweets would last for yeeeears. (And magic)
"Aaaaand then Georgo left."
Yep. ...Oh, huh, I have him leave in both fics for this round. XD;;;
(And you'd wondered if you'd had too many interjections in your fic. XDD;;;;;)
(And now to figure out what my reasoning was between always capitalising 'Prince' but sometimes capitalising 'princess'. I think I kept changing my rule every time. orz;;;)
