Tao peered around the house, trying to get his bearings. The house looked a decent size from the outside, but from the inside, it was like he'd fallen into some kind of hammerspace; with the amount of walking he'd just done, he was sure he was supposed to be outside already. Which, considering the houseowner, Tao wouldn't be surprised if that was actually true.
And just thinking of him apparently summoned him, because there he was, walking down the corridor.
"Ah, hi, sir!" Tao chirruped, giving a short wave, putting the most harmless smile he had on his face.
Which didn't have the desired effect of Frankenstein only giving him a perfunctory glance at most, ignoring him at best. His greeting made Frankenstein pause instead, peering at him, a mild puzzled expression on his face.
"There's no need to call me that," he said. "You can call me Frankenstein."
Huh? "Really?" Whoops, he hadn't meant for that to fall out his mouth.
An amused smile spread across Frankenstein's lips. "Of course."
And that made Frankenstein even better than all the other scientists Tao had ever interacted with, even disregarding everything else Tao knew about him.
Tao eyed Frankenstein though, trying to gauge if he was lying, but he didn't seem to be. Still. Actually using Frankenstein's name didn't seem quite right, even if he had permission. But if Frankenstein didn't want him to use 'sir', and he didn't want to use 'Frankenstein', there was going to have be some kind of compromise.
He hummed, rubbing the back of his head. "Can I call you 'Boss' instead?" It wasn't as formal as 'sir' and it wasn't as informal as 'Frankenstein', so maybe…?
Frankenstein tilted his head to the side for a second before nodding. "If that's what you want to call me."
…Yeah, actually having a choice was going to take a while to get used to. "Okay…Boss," Tao said, trying it out. Hmm, it rolled off the tongue, it was short and sweet – yeah, he could get used to using it.

…I am so used to writing Tao also calling Frankenstein 'Boss' in his head, I'm at a loss when he's pre-season 3.
Haha, I guess Takeo keeps doing it out of politeness. Or fear. XD
