Summary: M-21 thinks about his relationship with Takeo and Tao.

M-21 gazed at the back of Tao's head, listening to the other man sleep. Takeo's arm was wrapped around M-21's waist, their hands curled around each other and… It was nice. Good.
Better than good.
At times M-21 was sure he was dreaming, that none of this was real and he was hallucinating in a Union tank underground.
But his brain wasn't capable of making something like this. Of being happy.
He had to make sure he didn't fuck this up.
M-21 exhaled, putting the thought away when Takeo stroked his hand with a thumb; he must have realised where his thoughts were leading.
Tao made a grumbling sound and that was all the warning M-21 got before an elbow smacked him in the face.
M-21 jerked back in surprise more than pain into Takeo and he heard a soft grunt from him.
Tao –the asshole- didn't wake up, snuggling up against M-21's chest.
M-21 rolled his eyes. When you slept next to Tao, there was as much chance of being hit by a flailing limb as being used as a living teddy bear.
At Takeo's huff, M-21 looked over at him. Warm lips pressed to where he'd been hit.
"It was already healing," M-21 muttered. It wouldn't have the chance to even bruise.
"I know," Takeo said, kissing him again. He moved his arm so it went around both M-21 and Tao.
"Trying to keep him from moving?" M-21 snorted. That wouldn't work. Tao did what he wanted whether he was awake or asleep.
"I can try." Takeo's voice was tinged with amusement.
And… That was it, wasn't it? All they could do was try, and if he did fuck it up, he could also try to fix it.
"Yeah." M-21 slid an arm around Tao, joining Takeo's.
They could do this. Together.

Inspired by this otpprompt, ' Person A has woken up in the morning and Person B is sleeping next to them. Person A thinks about how wonderful it is to be next to Person B. Then Person B rolls over in their sleep and their arm smacks Person A in the face.'
I was going to have M-21 and Takeo push Tao out the bed, and then Tao decides to steal the blanket and RUN (and then falls flat on his face), but it seemed mean to push him for something he did while asleep so I cut it short. I think it works better like this anyway.
