Fandom: Bungo Stray Dogs
Summary: Atsushi is still getting used to waking up with a roof over his head. That's not the only thing he has to get used to.
Notes: Of course my first fic in this fandom is dealing with Atushi being a weretiger. Because I am just THAT damn predictable, haha.
Still getting used to their voices.

Atsushi was warm. That was something he was becoming accustomed to: a soft futon under him, a warm duvet on top of him and-
"Eh?"
An arm that wasn't his crossed over his chest, fingertips brushing his jawline.
He snapped his head to the right and his eyes widened at the sight of Dazai-san sleeping next to him, on top of the duvet.
Dazai-san's eyes fluttered and then opened. "Ah, good, you're awake, kid." He smiled at Atsushi, stretching with a small groan.
"D-Dazai-san?" Atsushi's brain stuttered, refusing to hop past that Dazai-san was right there.
"Mm?" Dazai-san flipped to his feet, leaning his arms on his knees.
"What...?" Atsushi shook his head and tried again. "What happened?"
"Oh, that." Atsushi chuckled, flapping a hand at him. "Nothing much. You just transformed last night — I wasn't sure if you would wake up and do it again, so I tucked you in bed and stayed close to make sure!"
"You-" No, that wasn't important. "Did I hurt anyone?" If he had - If he'd hurt someone because he couldn't control his ability... He jerked his duvet up, but his clothes were whole and clean underneath. Atsushi breathed a sigh of relief, dropping it.
"Nah." Dazai-san's gaze drifted up to the ceiling, tapping his own cheek. "Though you did leave a mess in the office... Kunikida-kun'll probably make you clean it up."
Kunikida-san would be mad, and there would be more work and balances to be adjusted again, but no-one was dead because of him.
Atsushi closed his eyes. "I'm glad."
"Heh." A rustle as Dazai-san moved. "If you fall back to sleep, Kunikida-kun will stomp over here and drag you in."
"Ack!" Atsushi scrambled up, grabbing his clothes. He paused, looking up as Dazai-san was about to leave his room. "Dazai-san…?"
"Mm?"
"Thanks." The others were strong, strong enough to subdue him in his weretiger form, but Dazai was the only one who could stop his transformation completely, and Dazai-san hadn't needed to stay close to him the entire night either.
Atsushi got a quick smile in return for that. "Remember not to be late, kid!" Dazai-san said, waving as he left.
He wouldn't. Atsushi sat there for a moment, smiling to himself before he started getting ready for a new day.

We'll see if I end up making a weretiger collection post called 'Stalk the Night' or something, pfft.
