Pace the Night [Lunar Eclipse]
Jan. 29th, 2017 05:40 amFandom: Noblesse
Summary: If the room hadn’t smelled of himself, if the two presences beside him hadn’t been so recognisable to him that M-21 knew who they were even with the cable pressed over his eyes, if he hadn’t been tied up by Tao’s cables so often he placed the texture instantly, M-21 would have panicked.

If the room hadn’t smelled of himself, if the two presences beside him hadn’t been so recognisable to him that M-21 knew who they were even with the cable pressed over his eyes, if he hadn’t been tied up by Tao’s cables so often he placed the texture instantly, M-21 would have panicked.
But he didn’t, because he was in his own room, Takeo and Tao were there, and he wasn’t hurt.
Now he just had to find out why he was face down on his own bed, his wrists and ankles bound so much he couldn’t move.
Neither Takeo or Tao were sleeping; their breathing was as quiet as they could make it, in fact.
M-21 gave a wrist an experimental tug, checking how Tao was feeling.
His hand slammed back onto the mattress, more cables converging over it to pin it in place, making sure his fingers couldn’t move.
M-21 frowned. What…?
Tao’s cables acted like he did, since they were an extension of him: they went where they liked, touching everything they came across, but that was it. The touch was gentle, enough to know they were there. This was rough, M-21 feeling the blood throb in his veins where the cables were cutting off his circulation.
“Tao?” he said, turning his head in his direction.
“M?” Tao yelped, and the cable slipped off his eyes.
Takeo and Tao’s faces hovered over his own, worry written all over as they peered at him.
“How are you feeling?” Takeo asked.
“Weirded the fuck out,” he said, still tugging at the cables. They didn’t let him move, but they didn’t tighten either. His throat…was scratchy. Like he’d talked a lot more than usual or… Everything clicked together.
“What did I do last night?” he demanded, looking the two over. There wasn’t any blood on their clothes, and his room didn’t smell of it either, but there was only one reason why they would tie him up like this.
“Hah…” Tao leaned back, closing his eyes. “It was a lunar eclipse last night. Apparently that makes you more-”
“Violent,” M-21 finished, gritting his teeth. He’d attacked them. He tried to hurt them.
“Aggressive?”
“Shit,” M-21 hissed, feeling sick, and Tao’s cables had loosened enough he could clench his hands into fists. That wasn’t much different.
He should-
“Nuh-uh, nope.” As M-21 sat up and tried to pull away from them, to get away, Tao wrapped his arms around M-21′s shoulders, and Takeo pressed in on his other side.
“But I could-!”
“You didn’t hurt us,” Takeo murmured, his arms going around M-21′s waist.
“We could tell the difference straight away, heh. We know what you’re usually like when you’re instinctual. That wasn’t it.”
M-21 gritted his teeth. “What if that is what I’m normally like from now on?”
Tao booped him on the nose with a finger. “Then we’ve got a calendar and alerts, so we’ll always know when the full moon’s coming.”
There was always a chance that could fail, but M-21 took in a deep breath, sinking into their arms anyway. They’d been able to handle him with no problem, could recognise the differences. He could still catch them off guard, but it wouldn’t be for long
“Okay.”
Takeo and Tao’s arms tightened around him.

Prompted by an anon who requested, 'It should have taken just one tug to get rid of these robes, but the more M-21 struggled the more they tightened around his wrists; what was going on?'
I went with ropes instead of robes.
