M-21 hates the moonlight. He knows why Tao brings it up, especially when a full moon draws near, but it’s because of that he noticed the pattern in the first place.
M-21 can feel the pull of power as sunlight gives way to moonlight, the ease as the werewolf instincts take over. In some ways, that’s not the problem. It feels like something that’s meant to happen, and he knows fighting it makes it worse in the long run.
It’s the regaining consciousness after that’s the problem.
Once he’s back to his senses there’s something missing. His memories as far as he can tell are left intact, but then, how is he supposed to know if he’s forgotten something? Especially when he’s already missing vast chunks of it.
It’s his humanity he’s losing.
Bit by bit the werewolf instincts claw a deeper hold on him. Growling and baring his fangs-teeth when he hadn’t before, curling up to sleep instead of laying flat.
He finds out he can understand the puppy perfectly. And that seems more important because he loses interest in interacting with the humans and nobles in the house.
He doesn’t like the enclosed walls, how the humans keep getting into his space and prodding him.
It would be easier if - yes. That’s what he’ll do. He’ll leave.
The door to the garden is open and he runs.
