The lights were on in the living room. That usually meant someone was there, but Takeo couldn’t hear anyone moving about. Maybe it was Rai-nim, but he could read with the lights off (and was sometimes so quiet Takeo didn’t even realise he was in the room until he’d turned around).

He poked his head in to check, and a small smile flitted across his lips, seeing M-21 on the sofa with his head tilted back and his eyes closed. There was no crease between his brows and his breathing was normal, so he was only sleeping.

“M-21,” Takeo murmured, ready to dodge in case he startled M-21 awake.

It didn’t happen, M-21 just sighing deeper.

Hm. He must be more tired than he’d let on.

Takeo touched M-21′s shoulder to double-check and when that gave him no response, he shook his head and lifted M-21 onto his back.

It wasn’t comfortable to sleep like that, so he’d make sure M-21 slept in his bed.
