Summary: "Moron! You said you couldn't be defeated. What's the point in keeping a useless person like you?" Kenshin didn't think; he just reacted.

Notes: So I was checking characterisations for Job Expectations and this grabbed my head.
All words are from the manhua.
Did this at the start of July and then left it because I didn't know what else to do. Came back to this and felt that it was okay like it was. And posting this up before I change my mind again. XD;;

"Moron!" the player roared. "You said you couldn't be defeated," the man continued, his voice getting louder with each word. Kenshin could see him waving his sword in an attempt to punctuate his point further from the corner of his eyes. "What's the point in keeping a useless person like you?"
Hearing those words, Kenshin didn't think; he just reacted.
Afterwards, after Arctic Fox had given him a look he hadn't seen before just before logging off, he thought over what he'd done. He didn't understand it. The words the player had said had ignited something inside him, making him lose control. He'd attacked without thinking, it only coming back to him once the trails the players had left faded from his eyes.
Was his programming beginning to take over again? He frowned, replaying the memory. No, it couldn't have been - he'd been aware the entire time. There weren't any empty spots in his memory, and he hadn't found himself in another place with no idea how he'd gotten there.
So what did that mean? "What's the point in keeping a useless person like you?" The dismissive tone was like the one players had used when talking about him being 'just an NPC'. Something that was of no importance to them. Something that didn't matter.
Duelling Arctic Fox had been different from all his previous fights. Nearly all had been felled with one hit. None had been able to keep up with his speed.
Arctic Fox had not only taken one of his hits, he hadn't died after being battered by one of his higher level attacks, even being able to talk afterwards and get up under his own power. There hadn't been a player who could dodge or block his attacks before. None had been so close to making a successful strike either.
That wasn't a 'useless person'.
It still didn't explain why he'd reacted in the way that he had.
