Fandom: The Legend of Sun Knight
Summary: Fras was pretty sure he didn't sign up for this.

Notes: Written for the 'Enemy' prompt for 100rare.
Fras is the name I gave to the knight that got dressed up as the Death Knight by Judgement in V1C9. XD; Getting more and more minor! It would figure that this is my longest fic so far. ;P
Mixing in both novel and manhua.
This went through three different titles. I eventually just wrote this rather than trying to figure out what prompt I was trying to write for half-way through.

Fras stood nervously at attention, shoulder to shoulder with his brothers, the Ice Knight staring unemotionally at Morson, who was on Fras' left. They hadn't been told why they were doing this, but the Judgement Knight didn't do things without a reason.

Still, Fras couldn't help that there were trickles of sweat running down the side of his face when Ice turned his attention to him. Ice flicked his eyes up and down him, and Fras could feel his heart freeze in place when Ice didn't move away, but stayed there, taking another, longer look.

He really wanted to run away and hide under his bed when Ice curtly nodded and Judgement stepped towards him, gesturing a dismissal to Fras' brothers.

Fras was pretty sure he didn't sign up for this. He signed up to hunt and capture criminals; he didn't sign up to dress up as one, and he'd flushed bright red when he had seen what he needed to wear. Or not wear, considering the general lack of clothing in the Death Knight's attire.

Staring at himself in the full-length mirror, Judgement and Ice behind him, Fras was fairly sure he couldn't get any redder if he tried. The room was cold, and he supressed the shivers that were staring to grow within him. Even though he had a layer between his skin and the armour, Fras could still feel the metal pressed up against him.

"You're going to have to act suspiciously," Judgement murmured, a frown tugging at his lips.

"Sir?" Suspiciously? There were a lot of different ways a person could act to be seen as suspicious.

"Pretend that you're searching for something," Judgement informed him, keeping eye contact in the mirror. "Drag your feet slightly."

That wouldn't be hard - Fras wasn't sure if he'd actually be able to walk in these shoes.

"Practice it."

Now? But an order was an order, no matter how strange, so Fras took a teetering step forward.

The shoes pinched his toes. The breeches were also very tight, but there was armour wrapped around Fras' legs, so he couldn't do anything about it. He'd been able to do a fairly decent shambling walk at least.

Judgement wasn't in the room, Fras noticed at that point, Ice standing a little distance away. Uh... Fras probably wouldn't get an answer if he asked about Judgement's whereabouts, so he turned around and continued practicing.

A few minutes later, Fras heard the door creak open, and he turned around to see Judgement re-enter the room, a bowl in his hands. Fras eyed it warily as he approached his captain.

"This mixture is used to lighten your skin..." Judgement trailed off and the implications of his words sank in.

"Is it permanent?" Fras asked before he realised he'd even thought it, and he clapped his hands over his traitorous mouth, in case it did that again.

"No," Judgement said, shaking his head, not remarking upon his outburst. "It only lasts about a day or so."

Oh, that was good to know. "But, how do you know..." Why was he questioning the words of a superior - especially if that superior was the Judgement Knight? His mouth was going to get him in deep trouble one of these days!

"Someone I know uses this all the time." Judgement's eyes were distant as he said this, and Fras peered at the thick, off-white paste.

This was for the sake of finding a criminal who needed to be punished for their sins. For that, he would do this gladly. Fras reached forward, scooped some of the stuff -it cooled his hands even further than what they currently were- and began applying it to his skin.

It was pretty hard trying to work out what prompt this could fit in. XDD And this could have been twice as long if I'd kept going

I had no idea what the heck Judgement meant when he said 'act suspiciously'. XD;;

I know! XDD I'd skimmed over that part when Judgement said that they'd lightened the knight's skin. I just went, 'well, okay, make-up, right?' But then when I read it again, I started wondering where they'd get their hands on make-up without geting some really awkward questions. Sun didn't react to Judgement saying they had made the knight's skin paler! XDD


OMG, that took ages to get to you! I was beginning to wonder if it'd gotten lost or something, because it's nearly been a month since I sent that! XD Did it come out okay? Did you have to cut it out, and does it still sit straight? When I was putting it in the envelope, I pushed it in a couple of centimetres, it got stuck on the bubblewrap, I pushed it in a little further... XDD; And then I saw how bent it was inside the envelope.

Haha, my knowledge of common items has gone down the tubes. When I was at the post office, the woman behind the counter sort of peered at the package and then gave me a sticker, telling me to write down what was in it. 'Oh, okay. Ice... cube... *blank* Uh... Wait, what do you call this again?? I can't ask her, and there's a queue behind me! Uh, uh. Tray? It's on a tray, so that'll do!' *snerk*

I think a lot of things would look suspicious to Judgment, but Fras would have to act suspiciously enough for everyone, hehe. :3

Hahaha, lightening the guy's skin... yeah, Grisia's special mixture would do the trick. XD;

It did take ages! I saw the date of your note inside. Sending things around the holidays seems to take a loooong time, unless it always takes this long for packages versus letters. It came out okay! It's a little curvy at the moment, but it looks like it's... silicon(?) and bendy, so it should be fine. XD;

I actually don't know what it's called. XDDD I looked on the outside of the package and thought, "Oh! Ice cube maker...thing." XD;

I used the excuse that 'Enemy' wouldn't be a strong theme in this if I'd kept going. Except it totally would have. XDD;;;

XD Yeeah. I guess Judgement would have be able to catch subtle cues since the crime rate goes down so much when he's patrolling.

I think it might be a package vs. letters thing, because the letter didn't take this long last year! (Er, two years ago now, technically?) More checking to do before it goes through I guess. I have no idea what it's made of either. XD;;

Yeah, last last year already. I'm still writing 2010 in a lot of things. ^^;; It still doesn't feel like 2011 for me! I think it's silicon... I was actually looking at a fishbone ice cube tray a few weeks ago, but I haven't bought it yet. XD; If I do, it'll be so awesome to mix some fishbone ice cubes with some normal fish ice cubes. XD;

Not yet. I keep forgetting to buy it. XDDD I couldn't decide what color to buy before, hahaha.
