esp_dragonFandom: ½ Prince/Searching
Summary: Lan meets some new players.

Notes: Swearing.
Set after Searching. No specific timeline for ½ Prince.

And, again, pronoun trouble. *facepalm*

Lan came to with a groan, rubbing her forehead where it had been resting on the rocky ground. When she peeled her eyes open, she could see stone buildings surrounding her. Ugh. What happened…?
She could muzzily remember accepting a glass of…something and she'd been pretty sure it had been alcohol…
Oh shit, had she boarded another ship? Where was she now?
She got up unsteadily, bracing her hand on the closest wall. This didn't look like any city she'd been in before and there was something off about the lighting in the street.
Lan turned her head towards the sound of running feet towards her and then grinned at the dragon? demon? beast and blond human that careened around the corner. Huh. The dragon beast (they had more of a snout, and their toes were longer than Lan's fingers. She did wonder how they had been able to get all the gold swirls covering their scales – she'd only seen one colour on other beasts) stopped in their tracks when they saw her and the human nearly ran into them.
The human poked his head around the dragon beast's arm and then smiled tentatively at her. "Hello…?"
"Hey." The dragon beast's reaction made Lan sigh internally and brace herself for a barrage of questions. She probably should be in her Blood Elf persona, but her headache made her not want to do anything more than lean on the wall.
At her response, the human's smile widened. "I'm Shodin, and this is Marland," he said, waving a hand towards his friend.
Lan found it weird that Marland wasn't wearing any kind of armour on their chest, but maybe that was because they had scales? Or were they new players? "Prince."
Shodin tilted his head at her in interest, while Marland's ears flattened. Huh. They moved really well. "Another one?" Marland muttured.
Lan frowned slightly while Shodin smothered a laugh. What did that mean?

Kinda wanted to call this New Game Plus, but Lan hasn't finished her storyline yet. XD
Let's just say there's a magical translator going on at the moment. Argh. XD;; Or Fion's somehow translating at the moment. (This doesn't explain how Marland can understand her, but oh well. *snerk*)
Lan was also going to ask what sex Marland is (since lizards/geckos aren't verified easily – it's from the base of their tail. Not that Lan knows that, but she at least gets that they don't have the usual way of identifying sex) except she doesn't have problems with pronouns. Argh. XD;;
Shodin has royalty on his world. :3 There isn't any living royalty on Torpin.
I want to half write Lan as being as Prince, so she at least has a chance of surviving!

XDD Or maybe she did come through as Prince and to Shodin, she's not acting very prince-like, and she doesn't have a name. 'Just...the title?'
