Kenshin narrowed his eyes as he dashed forward before he glanced over his shoulder; Sunshine was still keeping up – good. He vaulted the wall, landing lightly on top of it, and span around, reaching down to grab Sunshine's wrists as he jumped. Sunshine scrambled up, and once he was beside Kenshin, he put a hand to his own chest, taking a deep breath.
Kenshin glanced at the roof above them before dismissing the idea – it was too high for Sunshine and he could already hear the players catching up.
Without a word, Kenshin hopped over the edge, showing Sunshine where to jump. As soon as Sunshine was down safely, they started running again, the disappointed wails chasing after them, as well as the sounds of players trying to climb the wall.
"Kyaaa!" came one squeal to their right, and Kenshin snapped his attention there, drawing his katana in the same breath. "The bishies are here!" It was a group of three – two mages and a thief.
There were far too many players around at this time than there normally was.
The group was far enough away that he and Sunshine could get away before they reached them –with spells or otherwise- so he and Sunshine kept going, trying to find the exit. They never had enough time to summon Sunshine's carpet but –
Kenshin brought his katana up, slashing through the warrior's torso, turned, and sliced the priest's neck. He raised his arm to protect his eyes as they flew away, and after a quick scan of his surroundings, followed after Sunshine.
He saw Sunshine as soon as he rounded the corner, his silver hair making him easy to spot. He had nearly caught up with Sunshine when Kenshin spotted too late the assassin drop down from a streetlamp above him. The assassin just missed him and Kenshin slid to a stop, whirling around –
"Piercing Wind!"
And closed his eyes again as the rogue flew away. They stayed there for a few seconds, listening for any approaching footsteps, and when there wasn't any, Kenshin and Sunshine carried on in the direction they'd been going in, trying to keep to the shadows.
Kenshin eyed the sky, frowning; there was still a number of hours until Prince came back – hopefully he and Sunshine would have been able to get the carpet out by then.
